A renewable resource is one that is replenished roughly the same rate that it’s consumed, or faster.
Because fossil fuels are created from the decay of organic matter, and it takes a long time for coal and oil to be produced in nature, it’s a non-renewable resource.
Because fossil fuels are made of animal and plants remains that have decomposed and been compressed over millions of years and while fossil-fuels are constantly being created it is at a MUCH MUCH slower rate than they are being used. Due to the extreme amount of time it takes to create fossil fuels they are a non-renewable resource. And the fossil fuels will likely be completely used before more are created.
Fossil fuels are made out of what was left over from ancient rivers, streams and swamps. It takes literally millions of years for layers of soppy organic matter to turn into fuels such as oil or coal. There is only so much fossil that has been made by the natural processes of our earth. We are using it all up.
The big problem is that we have grown so accustomed to using them in our daily lives that we dont’ know how we will function without them. Gasoline, coal, oil and natural gas fuels our homes, factories and businesses. We have to start figuring out what we will use once all of it is used up. That’s why people are trying to make fuels out of corn, decomposing organic waste and soybeans.
The scurry for fossil fuels is causing wars, costing money and leaving every nation in the country wondering exactly what it will do.
And, although the major drillers and miners have often left oil and coal sites before they’re totally worked out, there is an increasing movement — due to new equipment and technology — to return to many of these ‘worked-out’ sites. This enterprise is almost always spearheaded by smaller outfits who may not be well-enough financed for larger jobs.

We’re running out of them, and they can not be synthetically created or manufactured.

hydrogen fuel was made already but its never gonna happen because of money business reasons… it sucks
