Which fuel is the friendliest to the environment gasoline, biodiesel or petroleum diesel?

Jamie asked:

produces the least pollutant (eg. soot).
my calculations show that gasoline produced the least amount of soot, after burning each fuel with a wick and collecting the soot. but after reading wiki, im in doubt. can someone please clarify?

bio diesel best carbon dioxide is the enemy not the soot. only problem with it is it takes away a food supply to make and makes food more expensive if they use it for that. they know they get more then they,ll charge more for it. just like the oil pirates do.

Hands Down Biodiesel is the clear winner. Biodiesel is made from vegetable oil, ya know, non-petroleum based. It can be recycled after use as well into fuel (MULTIPLE USES). Check out the new frontier in alternative energy “Algae Biodiesel” at
Soon this will be the clear winner to your question.
