What will happen if you run E85 fuel in your car and its not made to run it ?

There is NO way I would run this in my truck . I was asking cuz there are so many dumb people out there where I live and I know this some will put it in their cars , I didnt know what would happen .

    It will either not run or run poorly. You need to get a conversion kit. http://www.change2e85.com and http://www.driveflexfuel.com sells kits for almost any vehicle.

    your check engine light could come on due to the oxygen sensors not being able to read that high. as far as damage to the engine nothing only the false reading from the 02 sensors. i belive the web site to check is

    It will run fine but this is not recommended because the E85 eats through rubber fuel lines.

    Dont do it. Just because it is 20 cents cheaper doesn’t mean it will save you a damn nickel.

    If your car isn’t made for it it may mess up your fuel system. That could cost you hundreds of dollars.

    The main thing that would happen is that it would eat through the fuel lines. The ethanol decomposes rubber.

    Not only could it eat the rubber fuel lines, but I believe that E85 burns a little hotter and could make your engine fail due to the excessive temperature.
