What does it mean if Ethanol is found in a persons bloodstream?

I was reading an certificate today and saw that the official cause of death was , prescribed Fentanyl, and Nonprescribed . I know all about the Fentanyl and the , but am not totally sure what the means. Could this be that the individual was or that he was huffing gas? Does anyone know what this means?

    It most likely means they have been drinking alcoholic drinks. Ethanol is the chemical name for alcohol.

    Considering that “Ethanol” is the medical term for alcohol. He/She probably died from alcohol poisoning.

    Ethanol is just a fancy medical term for alcohol, booze, sauce,drink,firewater, etc.

    Ethanol (ETOH) intoxication means drunk…. and it does show up in the blood….
