lqworld asked: I’m thinking about E85 or Hydrogen mostly for transport vehicals today and if this is a first time thing for our world. As far as energy for power grids I’m noticing more and more wind farms. I know nuclear energy was a major introduction in the past but it seems that largly we have alway’s relied on fossil fuels. Is this accurate?

I am actually confused with your question. I don’t understand whether you are asking about Fuel, Energy or Source of Energy.
Industrial Revolution is usually counted with “Coal” as the Source of Fuel and Energy. So, you can understand the Major shift was to use “Oil” as a primary source of Fuel and it’s still considered Primary.
There are a number of other sources, but yet none can be considered as a Primary source but “Oil”.
Nuclear Energy has it’s own merit and demerits. If a nuclear plant liquidates….it’s hell of a problem. The ideal source for us is to use Solar Energy for Fuel and Power. But it’s not established yet because of some Political and Diplomatic reasons.
