Yes, renewable energy will never run out and it is more ecologically sound. It is also good for sustainability.

Sure. For a couple of reasons.
Fossil fuels are being used faster than they will be replenished. That takes thousands of years. ( not necessarily millions )
Fossil fuels have generally contain more Sulpher than renewable carbon based fuels. Sulpher Dioxide can cause reduced PH levels in water ( acid rain )
I am not a believer in the doom of global warming but it can’t hurt to reduce CO2 emissions. Especially if we can do it cheaper. Ethanol from grain however is not an effective or practical solution at this time.

Yes, we will have to, by their very nature fossil fuels will run out one day.
It is a gradual process though, when oil goes over $100 a barrel again there will start to be more investment in alternatives although not all of the alternatives are renewable (i.e. tar sands).
Yes, where possible, but it won’t be fast, and it won’t be easy; in some areas, it won’t be possible for a long time.
T. Boone Pickens has more than a little knowledge in the area and has been kicking around some sensible ideas.
Yes, We all should do it ourselves and build a solar panel or wind mill that would generate electric, is safe for our environment while is save us money. It would make us less dependent from our utility companies and is now affordable for under 200 dollars for a do it yourself kit. With today economy, we all should look into going green and saving money!

If we don’t, we will be left high and dry.
