Is the alternative fuel E85 expensive? and where do I find a place that has it in phoenix arizona?

    Last time I saw one of those pumps it was about 50c per gallon cheaper than 87 octane. It will give you nearly 20% lower mileage though. It might make sense if the gas prices are really low, but if they go up again, you’ll be wasting money. The whole ethanol deal is a scam worked up by midwest corn growing states to jack up the cost of corn and buy votes for the senators.

    E85 sells for about $.05/gallon more than the equivalent regular gasoline on a per equivalent price. So buy at your own risk, it is now and always be more expensive than gasoline

    Unless you vehicle is a “Flex Fuel” vehicle it will not run well if at all on E85. The engine and systems must be designed to burn that crap>
