How has the inclusion of ethanol in gasoline had an effect on the US demand for crude oil?

It has been noted that there have been steady increases in the US demand for crude oil over at least the last 20 years. What I have not noticed is a decrease in the demand to account for the 10% ethanol mandate, that should have caused a significant decrease in the US demand. Any thoughts?

    This is a hogwash.
It takes 1.25 unit of dirty energy to produce 1 unit of clean energy using ethanol.
So demand for crude oil increases by 25%.
