You can buy gasahol I think Arco AmPm sells it and it is the cheapest in my neck of the woods. As for the octane rating it is alot higher but only has 2/3 the energy content.
No it wouldn’t if you want to use something that will be helpful use at least mid grade or higher about every other time you fill up as far as using ethanol unless you drive a flex fuel vehicle you dont want to use anymore than 10% ethanol because for the simple fact it is corrosive when they build flex fuel vehicles they use either stainless steel or plastic for the gas tank and stainless steel fuel lines and stainless steel injector valves as well as different injector o rings
