Exactly why the Nissan Frontier, v-6, 2008, is not able to use E85 fuel, aside from gasket, and seal materials

While compression may be an issue, or the material of the engine components might not be able to take the heat, it does not seem reasonable that the engine that Nissan uses for their V-6 can not use rated fuel. In respect to the engine heat issue, their recommended fuel is at least 91 octane. White it is true that alcohol is rated at 100 to 105, it just seems that a fuel blend of E50 to should be fine for this engine. I would prefer knowledgeable answers from and vehicle technicians/engineers.

This isnt what you are looking for but E85 is a huge mistake.
You will get 35% less miles per gallon and drive up the costs of corn related products.

You would need to buy a whole new injection system for E85 Ethanol in order for a non-ethanol…..gasoline engine to run on E85 that’s why it wouldn’t work. Hope this helps.

E-85 is corrosive and if you don’t have special fuel lines and fuel tank it will eat them out along with any rubber parts that the fuel will come in contact with, E-85 vehicles are specially equipped to handle this type of fuel, even though E-85 is about 20 cents a gallon cheaper a gallon you get 20 to 25 % less gas mileage with it, it’s a real joke and GM should be shot for even bringing these cars to market and trying to convince people that this is the way to go, all it has done is increase the price of food as the price of corn has risen and it now costs more to feed the livestock and that in turn makes food prices rise.
