I’ve been using biodiesel on my previous vehicles 2006-2007 model and it works fine w/ a mixture of more or less 5% biodiesel on full tank.

Now, would this mixture is compatible w/ nissan navara D-40?

Biodiesel can be used in pure form (B100) or may be blended with petroleum diesel at any concentration in most modern diesel engines.

However, Biodiesel has different solvent properties than petrodiesel, and will degrade natural rubber gaskets and hoses in vehicles (mostly vehicles manufactured before 1992), although these tend to wear out naturally and most likely will have already been replaced with FKM, which is nonreactive to biodiesel.

ALL diesel engines can handle 5% biodiesel in all conditions. Heck, they all can handle 20%, and if you read your owner’s manual you may find your car is already certified for 20%. New cars in America are required to be certified for 20% biodiesel. (should’ve been 100% if you ask me.)

Diesel fuel by itself is very “dry”, i.e. has poor lubricating properties (for the fuel injectors). Sulfur added a lot of lubricity. Europe removed the sulfur from their diesel fuel, and replaced it with mandatory 5% biodiesel. Because biodiesel has excellent lubricity. America removed the sulfur and did not mandate biodiesel replacement. They left that to the free market, i.e. you.
