brewster24 asked: I have been succesfully producing B100 from Waste VO since 5/06 for use in mine and neighbors tractors (works better than petro diesel in some of the older eqpt!). Was succesfull this summer in hot weather in using close to B100 in my hot water boiler but since temps got into 30’s I cant seem to get a blend that works above about B10 in either indoor or outdoor in ground tanks.
Anyone using above B20 biodiesel for heating fuel?
Create a video blog…instantly.
im sure you wont have gel problems if you bury the tank deep enough to keep it warm. you might also try circulating pump with something like a heater coil from a car to pick up a little heat.

PS,
drop me a line some time, im interested in learning a little more about the economics of bio fuels.
+ two suggestions that may work, Preheat the fuel to about 70 degrees F before light off, just to get the flame burning hot enough.
Increase the alcohol content by 10% and increase your nozzle flow by 5%.
I don’t use the bio stuff, but I am working on the straight alcohol solution to the world fuel problems. The above answers were from my experiments in alcohol fuel. I refine from orchard fruits (mostly apple and cranberry). My truck can run fine in spring summer and fall, but not winter around here(needs to be about 60+ degrees). I can get it going in the garage, but I can’t let it stop or it cools down too much to restart. I **** using the spray and jumping the fuel in. (just too dangerous and brings too many prying eyes)
